Bodies Of Water = Welcome to great Manitoba Fishing

Some of the best scenery and fishing in Manitoba.

I am licensed to guide on these fabulous lakes and rivers.

Assiniboine River, Betula Lake, Big Whiteshell Lake, Dauphin River (Anama Bay area), Fairford River, Falcon Lake, Lake Manitoba (The Narrows area), Lake of the Prairies, Lake St. Martin, Lake Winnipeg (south basin and Hecla area),Lee River, Manigotogan River (including river basin area), Rice Lake, Wallace Lake, Washow Bay, West Hawk Lake, Winnipeg River system (from Seven Sisters to Nutimik Lake and McArthur Falls including Lac du Bonnet Lake and North to and including Traverse Bay.

Winnipeg River System

The Winnipeg River system has just about everything you could ask for. Great scenery and a large variety of fish including walleye, bass, catfish, sturgeon, pike and more. This means great fishing. There are lots of areas to explore from the Seven Sisters falls to the area that empties into Lake Winnipeg at Traverse Bay. This is a fantastic spot for they walleye we call “The Greenbacks”.

The Big Whiteshell Area

This area includes Natalie Lake, Pinewa, Sylvia Lake, Eleanore Lake, Margret Lake, Otterfalls, Dorothy Lake, Barrier Bay and Nutimik Lake. These lakes are all joined together and are part of the Winnipeg River system. Their are several great campgrounds and launch sites that will enable you to enjoy this beautiful part of the Precambrian shield. The Big Whiteshell Lake and Westhawk lake are also in this area and both offer fabulous fishing opportunities and accommodations.

Lake of the Prairies walleye

Ready to head out. Just a little frosty.

Rain and snow overnight. Water was over the floor board. Had to unplug the drain.

Caught this one on a jig with my spinning rod near Sugar island. It took nearly half an hour to net it by myself.

My brother Reid on Saskatchewan river. Waiting for the next bite usually didn’t take very long.

Tim K. and I playing with the catfish om the Winnipeg river with our walleye rods. Traverse bay was too rough.
